Description:
This Indigenous University of Toronto (U of T) website provides an overview to the Indigenous community, initiatives, services, and academic programs on all three U of T campuses. The website had to be culturally appropriate, as well as a hub for all of the Indigenous resources throughout the University of Toronto. Part of the direction to create a more approachable website was to provide authentic photography. The photography on the website taken by Design de Plume is of actual University of Toronto students who identify as Indigenous. The artwork on the website are authentic pieces that can be found through each of the campuses. Creating an accessible website was of the highest concerns for U of T. The website is fully compliant as an AODA (WCAG 2.0) website, as well as fully responsive on all new mobile and tablet devices.
