Description:
The new SCDSB logo pays homage to the board’s historical trinity cross. The curved shapes that encompass the cross represent (from the top, counterclockwise) spirit: the guiding light; mind: the innovative and creative right hemisphere of the brain; body: health and vitality; and the complete student: fully realized potential. The area of the three smaller pieces adds up to the total area of the larger piece. They are arranged in a similar fashion to the adaptive learning spaces found in classrooms and the Learning Commons. They promote communication and group engagement. Faith remains at the heart of it. The colour palette is fresh and friendly as it complements the architecture and interior design of the newer schools within the board. The design is relevant and approachable. It tells the story of an innovative, faith-based organization and a complete, successfully fostered student.
